Because I do enjoy the occasional graphic novel, I thought I would take advantage of our Libraries' collection, starting with
Hellboy, having read positive reviews of the series as well as the film. Hellboy is a creature brought into this world as a child by a Nazi sorcerer or wizard; however, Hellboy has no intention of doing his bidding. A standoff results in the destruction of the sorcerer who brought him to Earth, and Hellboy manages to save his two friends from death as well. While the concept is fairly charming, the book itself left me indifferent, so I don't think I'll be reading further in the series. I'm still contemplating whether to watch the first film, though.
